Natural DIY hand sanitizer

I've seen those little bottles of hand sanitizer on every desk or front counter of most offices where I work. I'm a bit reluctant to use them as I always was lead to believe a few germs help boost your immunity and that normal soap and water hand washing as needed would suffice.  Further I haven't seen any that state they were not tested on animals.

  • In a small dispenser bottle, combine 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel and 2 drops each of cinnamon, clove, rosemary and eucalyptus essential oils and 5 drops of lemon, grapefruit or orange oil and add distilled water to top.
  • In a small dispenser bottle, combine a few drops each of cinnamon, eucalyptus and lemon essential oils and sweet almond oil to the top. This recipe is great for people who are allergic to aloe vera (there are some out there).

A great way to store any DIY bathroom/beauty home good is to simply re-use old bottles by purchasing pour spouts at any home stores. I'm planning on reusing some old wine bottles to great effect!
