Who are we?
We are a not-for-profit organisation providing sustainability advice specifically for those living in rental accommodation. Renters are a growing part of the community and we believe their involvement is vital and possible.
Get involved
Support us and what we do by shopping in our store, becoming a member, donating or volunteering. Your contributions will help us run free workshops, projects and activities for renters living in community, social and public housing.
In the past 6 months we have:
- Appeared at over a dozen sustainability events and expos where we deliver workshops, speak at key events and run stalls talking to attendees.
- Run a sustainability expo specifically for residents of social housing, the first of it’s kind in Australia.
- Run an International Student challenge with participants in the City of Melbourne.
- Appeared in many media outlets including the ABC, Melbourne City Weekly, The Age and Sydney Morning Herald.
- Run over 50 workshops in areas of Melbourne, regional Victoria, Hobart and Sydney to many diverse communities.
- Received a WWF Earth Hour award for Education, short listed in the City of Melbourne awards 2011 and an honoured nominee for the Wespac Kookaburra awards.

Membership is great way to help and become involved with Green Renters, not only are you helping us financially, you can become an active member of our online community and have a vote in the running of the organisation. You even receive free gifts which are detailed under each membership type. By becoming a member, you are agreeing to our rules which can be found on our website.

Enables you to contribute to website, regular newsletter, annual report, one months free ad package, store discount (10%) and Flexicar membership for 2.
