Background
Green Renters is a small not-for-profit providing sustainable living advice specifically for those living in rental property. Renters are a growing part of the community and we believe their involvement is vital and possible.As the only organisation specifically for renters we deliver workshops, host events and run projects.
Organisational structure
A volunteer board of management governs Green Renters and day-to-day duties are carried out by a combination of contract and unpaid volunteers.

Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, well spoken and customer-focused individual to take on the role of Membership, Sponsorship and product promotion and marketing. The purpose of this position is to create opportunities for increasing Green Renters' revenue through our membership base, advertisers, sponsors and product sales.
Currently Green Renters has the following sources of income:
- Paid workshop authoring and facilitation
- Project management
- Financial members
- Website advertisers
- On line and market stall retail
- Grants
Responsibilities
- Review Green Renters marketing strategy
- Build new business relationships
- Generate revenue through advertising, retail and membership
- Identify and pursue new targets for partnership and corporate relationships
- Promote our store and products
- Marketing and promotion of Green Renters activities and store
- Build membership numbers
Personal attributes
This position may suit people from a variety of backgrounds including graduate students, people seeking a transition from corporate or sales into the NFP sector and PR graduates. You will have successfully developed commercial, marketing or PR partnerships in the private, education, cultural or broader not for profit sectors. Your maturity and experience will enable you to establish and nurture meaningful relationships within a multitude of business sectors.

- Experience generating income through advertising
- An ability to work collaboratively with staff across an organisation;
- Demonstrated budgeting and financial management & analysis skills;
- An understanding of and commitment to our vision, values and philosophy
Expected hours
10 hours a week for an initial 3 month contract.
Terms of Employment
- $20 / hour plus 20% commission on all income generated.
- Initial three month contract
- Start date TBC and negotiated
