Natural DIY hand sanitizer

I’ve seen those little bottles of hand sanitizer on every desk or front counter of most offices where I work.

I’m a bit reluctant to use them as I always was lead to believe a few germs help boost your immunity and that normal soap and water hand washing

as needed would suffice.  Further I haven’t seen any that state the were not tested on animals.

Planet Green has a couple of recipes for making your own sanitizer which I thought I’d share:

* In a small dispenser bottle, combine:

1 tsp. aloe vera gel + 2 drops each of cinnamon, clove, rosemary and eucalyptus essential oils + 5 drops lemon, grapefruit or orange oil + distilled water to top (via Le Dolce Vita blog)

* In a small dispenser bottle, combine:

A few drops each of cinnamon, eucalyptus and lemon essential oils + sweet almond oil to top (via Greenzer.com)–this recipe is great for people who are allergic to aloe vera (there are some out there)

Here’s a great way to store any DIY   bathroom/beauty home goods. Simply re-use old bottles by purchasing pour spouts at any home stores. I’m planning on reusing some old wine bottles to great effect!
